80s Music/singing quartet
Expert: OneMixDJ - 10/14/2008
QuestionHi,
I have a competition coming up, and have decided for the vocal category to be a singing quartet (four girls, each around 15 years old) and I was wondering, could you make any suggestions or recommendations as to what we could sing?
It has to be a song that really shows off good voices which would be impressive to a judge.
Please help, it's quite important that I make a decision on the song we sing pretty soon
Thanks!

AnswerHi Izzy,
I would check songs by girl groups such as SWV, En Vogue, Jade, and even Destiny's Child.
Although SWV was a 3 member group, if you listen to songs such as "Rain" (check YouTube, it's good), and listen to how the vocals are performed, you can notice the discipline being applied in unison.
En Vogue (in my opinion) is the best example by far with SWV coming a close second. The unique thing about En Vogue is that all members had brilliant vocals, which is something to consider when checking through songs.
Hope this helps!
Good luck in your competition and let me know how you make out!
