Question
Dear Mr. Santos:

Greetings.

Could you please provide me the details of an 80s song sung by Imelda Papin named "One Life To Live" , like who composed it, which album was it included in and the like. I heard another cover of said song by a male singer way back 1984 and I wasn't able to note who sang it.

Another question which nagged me for more than a decade is the title of the song with the ff lyrics:

"Oh Frankie / If you say the world is square
I will believe you / You are the only truth
Which makes my day so fine" (did I get it right?)

Your help in the foregoing questions is very much appreciated. Thank you po once again and mabuhay.

Answer
Dear Raymond,

You got a very difficult question, I must admit. I looked for it in my old songbook and I can't find any info.

As far as I know it was revived at that time by IMELDA PAPIN & his then husband former Marinduque governor BONG CARREON under Sunshine Records. I believe it was a stand-alone single, meaning it did not came from any album. It was released around 1982. I hope some of our readers will be able to help us gather some more infos.

As for your other question, I have no idea what it was. Sorry I can't identify it.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
