80s Music/holiday

Question
hi! my friend and i just recently purchased an ipod and we've been compiling songs from mostly the 70's and 80's era.  we've been successful in finding most of the songs we like except for a few including HOLIDAY. we know that it's a dance music in the early 80's however, we're not sure what genre it belongs and the name of the artist.  we've looked everywhere in the net like youtube, itunes, google, lyrics, etc. for the song to no avail. we also know that a group named Wea Dancers danced to that music at the height of its popularity. Hope you could bring an end to our frustration.... thanks!

Answer
hey christy, you hinted that Wea Dancers dance with it so it may be during the metallic gigolo dance craze during that time. There was a popular dance hit titled " A Lovers Holiday" by the Italian-American group formed in Bologna, Italy, who called themselves "Change". They were heavily influenced by the legendary disco band Chic. The band's debut album, The Glow Of Love, was released in 1980 and featured the million seller "A Lover's Holiday".

Give me a buzz if that was the one you were looking for.

The 80s: a decade where the music was grand. i learned a great deal on the wonderworkings of new wave artists; those pop-rock ditties were remarkable, yet the laid-back love songs were always as good as it was then. as regards artists and their songs,i maybe of help though i'm partial to rap, country, and metal. I am also a smooth jazz junkie and may have infos to take you along a splendid music cruise in our time.
