Sorry. I'm familiar with the song but I believe it's not an 80's song but more of a 90's song. Unfortunately, I cannot answer it as I don't have any clue what it was nor the singer who did it. But rest assured, I'm not leaving any stones unturned and I will re-post an answer when I find it.
