It's a great song from an artist who just disappeared after that song. Indeed that was YOU AND ME by DOUG PHILLIPS. It was released in 1983 supported by an Asian tour. I remember him singing that song in every TV program available then, EAT BULAGA, STUDENT CANTEEN, VILMA!, etc. It was huge, huge hit together with another one-hit wonder SO FAR AWAY FROM HOME by DAVID NEWMAN (remember the lines, ON MY OWN AGAIN, ON THIS DESERT ISLAND, SO FAR AWAY FROM HOME, ONCE AGAIN I FIND ALL AROUND IN SILENCE WITH YOU STILL ON MY MIND). Nothing has been known much about DOUG PHILLIPS, disappearing after that one big hit but certainly leaving us with a warm song.
