Question
Hi, I'm in Choir and we are doing a pop concert and I want to try out. And this year our theme is Blast From The Past, and the genre is the 70 80 and 90's music. But I'm dont know a lot from that time period and I dont know what song to choose. I have a nice voice, that can hit the high notes, some low ones, and I dont go very loud but loud enough. Can you help me?

Answer
hey amanda, you made me recall my years past in a choir too. there's a lot of stuff you may try from the 80s but i find these songs just awesome for a group to do; "Java Jive" and "Nightingale in Berkeley Square" by Manhattan Transfer. Actually any song would be just right, it all depends on the arrangement made to suit it with your audience.

The 80s: a decade where the music was grand. i learned a great deal on the wonderworkings of new wave artists; those pop-rock ditties were remarkable, yet the laid-back love songs were always as good as it was then. as regards artists and their songs,i maybe of help though i'm partial to rap, country, and metal. I am also a smooth jazz junkie and may have infos to take you along a splendid music cruise in our time.
