There was this group in the 80's that was called "The ***** band" dont remember the song but I remember that there band started with "the and ended with "band". Wish you could help.

Wished you could have included a hit from that group. But you might be looking for THE ALL SPORTS BAND which had a hit back in 1982 called OPPOSITES DO ATTRACT. A local group also goes by the name THE RAGE BAND.
