80s Music/80s song with "I am walking away" in the lyrics

I am trying to find out about a song that was sung by a female and had lyrics that went "I am walking away, I am walking away.....no denying, compromi????" It had a real good beat to it (not techno, but a good slow to medium dance song). My German penpal sent it to me along with song like Self-control by Laura Branigan, Love like blood by Killing Joke, Lady Nina by Marilion included on the tape. Could you please help me find this? Thanks.
hey sam, i can only think of "Walking Away" which was a huge dance hit in the 90s. The artists who sported that post new-wave look called themselves "Information Society" which also made a huge hit with the hit 'What's On Your Mind" in 1988. but of course, you may double check if my homework gets your approval by checking out on youtube for the video of this song.

| Comment | Thanks for your help, but I already have found out that the song by Information Society is not the same one. Maybe the title of my song was different and it just had the lines "I am walking away" in it. I am not sure. Thanks anyway, for taking the time to answer my question. | ||
