Hi,
This is a track which I heard on indie radio. Sorry for the quality, it's an "open air" recording with a phone.

The vid has NO relation to music, i just like that girl, read below.

What I know about it is:
[1]- style is ambient-ish. experimental.
[2]- the pitch of his voice is altered/lowered, like that of slowed down audio, HOWEVER, the speed is is NOT slower than normal
[3]- the time frame is early nineties, maybe late eighties, surely not after 1995.

[4]- possible lyric fragments are: (googling didn't get me anywhere, but I'm a dyslexic so not so good at sifting through tons of pages)

book in the store
mature in france (friends?)
there was man in the room
i saw the gloom at once

So i had to freeze when he spoke,
freeze when he broke
like ice
took the book from the floor
at the magic store, ticket price

come in and bring in the sun
come on cry on and run

At the lines in the field
now time is real
to tell
There is a house in the storm
tehare ain is born to well
had to leave my car in the street
run down by freaks
alone

Then i saw i the door of the house
and i could not .... of the dawn
come in and bring in the sun
come on cry on and run

It seemed very UN-commercial to me, not a club sound either, more like experimental type of thing. Remember that it was broadcasted on indie radio in Amsterdam. That radio station has sadly vanished.

Of course, if you ID this, I'll be so grateful that I'll name my future kids after you :bj:

Answer
Hi Sophie,

I'm sorry, but I had to listen to this as best as I could.

Unfortunately, I could not tell you the name of the song because of the poor quality, but the artist sounds very much like David Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust era. By the way the notes are sung, it sounds very much like David Bowie. As for the actual song, I really couldn't make it out.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Regards,

Frankie
