TEARS IN HEAVEN by ERIC CLAPTON was written by ERIC in collaboration with WILL JENNINGS about the pain felt by ERIC following the 1991 death of his son, CONOR, who fell from a 53rd-story window in his mother's friend's New York City condominium. It became ERIC CLAPTON's most successful song hitting No. 2 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart on March 28, 1992. It was also featured in the movie RUSH. It also won for CLAPTON "SONG OF THE YEAR", "RECORD OF THE YEAR" and "MALE POP VOCAL PERFORMANCE" in the 1993 GRAMMYS. Here's its lyrics:
