Question
Kuya Bong,

I am one of your ever grateful fans for providing us the chance to listen to long-lost songs ng dekada 80 na tunay na napakaganda.

I've always wanted to know this particular dance song used in a contest i think in eat bulaga or student canteen circa 1980-1982 (?) with a carribean beat and with lyrics sounding like "achukuleya hiya hiya, achukuleya hiya yo."

Thanks and more power!

Answer

SU-KU-LEU
Dear Dan,

I'm not sure which noontime show it was used but I'm pretty sure  the song was called SU-KU-LEU by TANTRA. TANTRA was an electronica group and SU-KU-LEU was taken from their 1980 album TANTRA II.

Maraming salamat po!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
