Aboutwilliam Horton Expertise My favorite genre of course is 80's music. It can be just a few words from a song or video, and I will wrack my brains to remember or figure it out. I have a photographic memory and luckily for me I also love 80's music.
Experience I used to be a D.J at the now defunct 93.7 WLHT in Grand Rapids, MI
Iam a collector of music albums from the 80's British invasion.
And I have a real need to constantly broaden and test my music knowledge
Education/Credentials Associates degree from Michigan State university in Music & the Arts
Question In the 80's I listened to an alternative radio station in Pittsburgh called WXXP. They once played a song that started out with Winston Churchill's speech "Our Finest Hour" in the beginning the song then it was mostly instrumental. I have been trying for years to find who the artist is and the title of the song? There couldn't be that many songs out there that start out with a Winston Churchill speech? I have the song on a cassette tape but no longer have a cassette player. If you know the answer or could find the answer i would be so grateful!!
Answer Hi Cas,
I found your question in our experts question pool.
It wasnt assigned to me.
I have your answer in part. The name of the artist & song is:
The Damned -song- "In Dulce Decorum"
You can listen to it here: http://www.last.fm/music/The+Damned/_/In+Dulce+Decorum
I say in part because, I have been unable to find the song with Sir Winston Churchills speech attached.
This version, the speech was removed because it was used on the popular TV show "Miami Vice"
If you look up the album by "The Damned " Iam fairly sure you will find the exact track you have been searching for.
I hope that this information has helped you?
Can you please leave me ratings feedback? This lets everyone know that Iam doing my job...LOL
Thanks.
