Question
Ok, Band name can't remember but was not Wham. Lead Singer, can't remember. A song, can't remember. Lead singer had white hair and the band did pop songs like Wham, very similar. The videos were mostly torso and head shots of the singer and I think the band was a duo. I'm pretty sure the character from Music and lyrics was modeled after this guy and not George Michael and Wham. Can you help me remember or did I make this more difficult?

That is one difficult question you provided. Honestly, nothing came out of your clues. But during the 80's, a Wham!-modeled band gained brief popularity as the BOYS CLUB. They had a hit in 1989 called I REMEMBER HOLDING YOU. A long shot answer though.
