Hi,
Could you settle an argument please ? Me & some friends have been trying to think of an 80's band (without success !) - something like Chang Yung or similar - whenever we hear their song about 5 mins afterwards we've forgotten their name again. I'm fairly sure they had their hit single in the UK sometime from 1980 to 1985.
Any help would be appreciated - theres a good few beers been bet on the correct answer - I've spent 30 mins on Google but still can't find the bands name !

I'm a little bit puzzled any of you don't remember this 80's new wave band which originated from your country (if we're talking of the same band). You must be talking about WANG CHUNG, made up of JACK HUES and NICK FELDMAN. But I can't blame you if you keep forgetting their name...during their peak they found their greatest success in the US than in their home country. In the States, they have 5 Top 40 hits, the biggest being EVERYBODY HAVE FUN TONIGHT which peaked at No. 2 in 1987 while in the UK, they only mustered a single Top 40 song, DANCE HALL DAYS in 1984.

I cannot think of any other band that sounds similar to "CHANG YUNG", I hope I could be of help so those few good beers could serve its purpose.
