Question
I am trying to find a dance song from the 80's. I recall one of the parts where the music stopped and a mans voice said "meanwhile back in the jungle" and then a tribal type beat continued. It was a kind mix dance song Ala Mars-Pump up the volume or Bomb the bass. It seemed to be along those lines. Thank you in advanced for your help.

Answer
Dear Jorge,

The line you gave tells me it is from a song called STRANDED IN THE JUNGLE. I just don't know which version you heard. It was originally recorded by THE JAY HAWKS (later became THE VIBRATIONS) in 1956, then by THE CADETS in 1959. Some other cover versions were by THE VOODOO GLOW SKULLS and the NEW YORK DOLLS. The former is a 90's song while the latter is from the 70's. I couldn't find any version from the 80's though. But I'm pretty sure the song is STRANDED IN THE JUNGLE.

Maraming salamat po!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
