Question
Hello Sebastini, back in the 80's I use to record music onto cassette from the radio all the time while living in DC, Howard Univ WHUR use to play this song which I believe the title was Nadine, it was R&B/Jazz influenced and very funky & smooth, the hook was "Are you a dream Nadine" and "Tell me you're not a dream", I still play that same cassette to this day and for the life of me can not seem to find out who this artist is!, it's killing me,  the bass line was very Stanley Clarkish, any help with this would be most appreciated!

Answer

Expertise

The 80s: a decade where the music was grand. i learned a great deal on the wonderworkings of new wave artists; those pop-rock ditties were remarkable, yet the laid-back love songs were always as good as it was then. as regards artists and their songs,i maybe of help though i'm partial to rap, country, and metal. I am also a smooth jazz junkie and may have infos to take you along a splendid music cruise in our time.
