hello,
i am desperately looking for a song i heard on the radio. i don't know in what language the song is but i know it's from 1982 from the Philippines and it's a young man singing it. i think the artists name ends in "...on". it gives me the impression it is a successful song. it is kind of quiet with maybe one musical instrument playing.  they also said on the radio that it is a sad song.

I don't remember any hit songs from 1982 with the artist's name ending with ON. That's a very short clue you have. But I do remember a song, big big hit in 1982 here and sang with the use of (almost) only one instrument. With that clue about his name ending with ON, I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU by MICHAEL JOHNSON comes to mind. Only, the song was in English but its a sad song, indeed.
