I don't know exactly if it is an 80's or early 90's song, but I am desperately looking for the song title the artist. The singer  sounds like Michael Mcdonald (but with a thinner voice)

As far as I can remember, the lyrics goes like this:

hi mabel, guess what? i've also been trying to find what this song is, coz i kept hearing it on a crossover station on midnights. it's of those tunes that really completes a relaxing nightcap over coffee and music. please do send me your email, and i will then keep in touch the soonest i'll get the info on this one.
