Question
Season's greetings!  I remember fondly the song "So Much in Love" by Sheena Easton which became popular in the Philippines in 1981, I think.  Who made the original recording of this song?  Is this an original by Sheena Easton?  I remember there was a version of this song recorded by a male group.  Thanks.

Answer
Dear Z,

SO MUCH IN LOVE originally appeared on SHEENA EASTON's debut album titled TAKE THIS TIME released in 1981 as SHEENA EASTON in the US. It was written by songwriters DOMINIC BUGATTI & FRANK MUSKER who also wrote the 1980 AIR SUPPLY hit EVERY WOMAN IN THE WORLD. Some songs in the SHEENA EASTON album were co-written by BUGATTI and another, MODERN GIRL which was released as a single were also written by the duo. So it appeared like it was an original song by SHEENA EASTON. In 1982, the songwriters, recording as the duo BUGATTI & MUSKER recorded it for their album THE DUKES. Our very own SHARON CUNETA also recorded her own version in 1982.

Maraming salamat at Manigong Bagong Taon!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.
