QuestionHello, this is my first time to ask here though some of the questions in my mind i found in here. My question is a particular song used in the film of WORKING BOYS (Tito, Vic & Joey with Herbert). The music was featured when Herbert Bautista having 3 dates all at the same time (1 in the restaurant, 1 in the Tennis Court & last in the Swimming Pool). What & Who sang that song. Please help!!!
AnswerDear Michael,
Sorry for the rather late reply. I have to look for a copy of the movie WORKING GIRLS to be able to answer your question.
The song that was used in that triple date scene featuring incoming Quezon City mayor HERBERT BAUTISTA was none other than GARY LOW's 1983 Italo hit I WANT YOU. GARY LOW, whose real name is LUIS ROMANO PERIS BELMONTE, was a popular Italo disco artists back in the early 80's whose first hit was a song called YOU ARE A DANGER written by PIER LUIGI GIOMBINI who also wrote GAZEBO's I LIKE CHOPIN. I WANT YOU was a cut from GARY LOW's 1984 album GRANDES EXITOS.
Here's its lyrics:
I WANT YOU / GARY LOW
Do you believe that I'm a different man
babe
And you believe that I'm hard to get
but
I don't need too much
I am an easy man to catch.
I don't look just for your eyes
babe
I don't look just for your lips
doll
But I got my prize
you don't have to be a surprise.
Well
what shall we do tonight? What's gonna happen right?
The big romance
well
my chance
you got the most I wonr get lost.
I want you 'cos you make me feel good
I want you 'cos you make me real.
I want you 'cos you make me feel good
I want you 'cos you make me real.
I know you have so many guys who want you.
I know you have to chose the one that's right.
Girl
I know its hard so tell me I'm the winning guy.
I don't look just for your lips
babe
I don't look just for your touch
doll
But I got my prize
you don't have to be a surprise.
Well
what shall we do tonight? What's gonna happen right? . . .
I want you 'cos you make me feel good. . .
Maraming salamat po!!
