The clue is a bit short and vague. I know a song that contains that phrase but I'm going to tell you, it's a long shot.

In 1983, NIGHT RANGER released an album called MIDNIGHT MADNESS and from this album came their biggest hit to date, SISTER CHRISTIAN. In 1984, the third single form that album was released, and it was this song that contains that phrase. The song is WHEN YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES. Here's its lyrics:
