Around the time that Allahnah Myles came out with that beautiful sultry voice singing "Black Velvet" a similar sound came out in a song I can describe but don't remember the words to. The song was about a woman traveling alone. She stopped somewhere and ended up having a one night stand. She was either married or about to be. She's traveling this same area again this time with a son and is definitely married now. She runs into the man she had had the one night stand with years before and when he looks into the boys eyes he knows the child is his. She doesn't want him to say anything just wants to go on about her life. They say their goodbyes and she drives away.

The song you're looking for is "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You" by Heart, a #2 hit from 1990.  It's from their CD called Brigade and can also be found on just about any of their later greatest hits compilations after 1990.
