Hi there. I'm driving myself crazy trying to listen to a song from the past that I can only hum in my mind. Maybe you can help. Here's what I know:
The song was popular in dance clubs and techno dance clubs in the 80's and 90's. I used to dance to this instrumental song each weekend at the clubs in Indianapolis in 1992 1993 during their "retro" dance nights.

I once asked a DJ about the song; I think he said something about Russia and cosmonauts. I looked up this info on the web but couldn't find the exact song from the past...the newer Russian cosmonaut songs are NOT this song.

The song has virtually no lyrics except for a few utterances here and there, usually in  Russian, I think.

One more thing: the song "I want to know what you're thinking" by Information Society had sometimes been mixed with my mystery song to make a club mix dance song. That song by Info Society sounds very similar to the song I'm hoping YOU can help me identify.

On a side note: I am so happy that All Experts is still alive and kicking! I used to be an "expert" on this very site!  I loved it. In fact, I got a great job offer and now have a great job/career as a direct result of my time with All Experts!!

Hi Lorie,

I will try to answer your question as correctly as i possibly can or at least show you some possible alternatives.

The first thing that comes to my mind, that i think comes close are two songs: 'Russian Radio' by Red Flag; and 'American Soviet's by CCCP.

You may also would want to check out the discographies from these two groups and hopefully find the one you're looking for.

On your side note, i also love sharing my knowledge to the people who love music. I may not be the best expert in this particular but in my own little way, i'm happy helping them find the answers. :)
