a song they always play on the radio in NU or RT when there is a bday.....something like "listening on the radio...happy bday...happy bday... happy bday" its kinda upbeat pop 80's

You may be looking for "Happy Birthday" by Concrete Blonde.  The end of the chorus is "News on the radio, happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday." It appears on Concrete Blonde's second album, called Free, released in 1989. It can also be found on a few of Concrete Blonde's compilation CD's, such as Recollection: The Best of.. from 1996 and The Essential Concrete Blonde from 2005.
