Question
Hi Expert. Do you know the artist/band who played the 80's ( 1983 OR 84, BASTA EARLY OR MID-80S) slow rock song HONEY? The lyrics seem to go:
" Something's being born right here today, heart is so warm no words to say. All that I want is what I feel, something's being born and it is real... Chorus: hONEY, HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT OUR LOVE WOULD BE A PERMANENT GLOW? hONEY, MAY BE YOU KNOW, MAY BE KNOW i NEED YOU, I NEED YOU SO..."

THANKS VERY MUCH!

Jigo

Answer
Hi Jigo,

I think the song you're looking for is "Honey" by a Czechoslovakian singer-songwriter known as Miro.  His full name is Miroslav Zbirka and, as far as I call tell, this is a song that he wrote and recorded.  It first appears on his 1982 album called Light Of My Life on the Opus label, and later appears in 1986 on an album called Dear Boy - these albums share a few of the same songs. Both of these albums appear to be imported from Czechoslovakia. Today, you can locate the song on Miro Greatest Hits, released in 2006. Here is the album on the Amazon MP3 download website (where you can buy just the song or the whole album): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003PY4ZDG/ref=sr_1_album_1_rd?ie=UTF8&child=B0  In addition, I've located this YouTube recording of the song (mixed in with movie dialogue from "As Good As It Gets"): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRlqe6CnWc4

P.S. This song is new to me. I just found it through researching the web for your answer. But, I really like it.

Thanks,
Erick
