Question
I have two (2) favorite classic tunes in the 80s which are often played on radio, one which goes by the lyrics:
"Tonight,
Tonight I feel you hold inside
Tonight,
Tonight I want you by my side
When you're here with me,
When you're here with me I feel better.
When you're near to me,
When you're near to me I feel warmer
...
Before I know it, you're by my side ..."
I may be certain that the title of that early 80s dance tune is "Tonight" but I can't ever find the correct artist of that song!
My other favorite classic tune goes by these lyrics:
"Darlin' stay with me,
I'll never let you go.
Please believe,
I'll never hurt you so.
Can't you see you are still here with me
And baby let me love you.
Darlin' stay with me,
Promise I'll hold you tight ..."
I may also be certain that this 80s retro hit is titled "Darlin' Stay With Me" but still I can't find the correct artist of that song! I may not be 100% surely correct of the song lyrics but at least I'm certain enough how those lyrics sound.
These songs are often played on radio then and now but never to my mind I would be interested in them until I searched and "googled" them for quite a long time now. Please help me find the correct artists of those (2) songs I've been waiting for my entire lifetime. Thank you and God bless you.

I'm not very sure on the first song. At least a hundred songs are titled TONIGHT. Unfortunately, I cannot connect them with your lyrics.
Regarding your second song, that would be STAY WITH ME by INDIA. It was a project by Village People producer the late Jacques Morali. The song was released in 1983 under West End Records.

I apologize about the first one bcoz i think that supposedly titled hit song "Tonight" is not released in the 1980s though it did received prominent airplay in the past probably in 1983 or 1984 when i was only 9yrs old when i actually danced on that song with these lyrics: Tonight, tonight i feel you hold inside. Before I know it, you're by my side My love's gonna reachin' to ecstacy ... So far these are quite only an approximate to the lyrics of the original song. I'm definitely sure I first heard it on radio by the early 80s probably 1982 or 1983 but maybe this song was first released in the late 70s i suppose. But still thank you nevertheless.
