Question
the song i am thinking of has a bridge in it, that basically breaks down in to sounding like "the jetsons cartoon theme song"with piano. it is the riff after "JANE HIS WIFE". the song has like a half time beat on the drums playing behind it. for the life of me i cant remember anything else about it, just when i think i'm getting to what happens next, the music bar repeats mentally and i'm stuck in it again. haha. i keep wanting to point in the 80's rock genre. what is the name of the song and band? Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi Randy,

The song that comes to my mind is "Blinded By The Light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band. The song was written by Bruce Springsteen, but was covered by Manfred Mann's Earth Band and reached #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1977. The musical arrangement of the song includes a "chopsticks" style piano segment at a breakdown in the song about 4:45 minutes in.  This is the part that matches closest to the Jetson's theme part that you referenced. Here is a video of the band performing live(see the keyboard part about 5 minutes in): http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xero94_blinded-by-the-light-manfred-mann-bruce-

Thanks,
Erick
