Sir,

My sister came back from the Philippines from spending the summer there either in 1989, 1990 or both. She came back with a mixed tape of what i remember to be a whole bunch of italo or Hi nrg songs. There was one particular one that i can vaguely remember. It was sung by a male in what i think was italian. I don't know any italian so my only clues were that words kept ending in what i remember as 'oli,' or rhymed with it anyway, and that it was quite up beat.

I am reminded of the song every now and then but a lot of it has faded. Hoping you can help.

At about that same time, late 80's, there was a popular male-sung Italo disco song similar to the one you had in mind. Although it wasn't in Italian but in French. Blind singer GILBERT MONTAGNE who had strings of hit in the 70's, saw his 1983 single re-released here in 1987. The song was called LIBERTE and was originally recorded by him for his 1983 album LIBERTE.
