You never mentioned if it was a slow song. Anyways, first song that came to my mind is NEVER SHOULD HAVE LET YOU GO. If you're a Filipino, chances are it is indeed the song which was a big hit in the Philippines in 1983.

The song NEVER SHOULD HAVE LET YOU GO was sung by ROBERT "BOBBY" MARTIN. He is the son of two opera singers from Philadelphia. He is a trained French horn player, gifted athlete and sports a genius IQ. He is a veteran musician who has toured and worked with the best, notably FRANK ZAPPA. NEVER SHOULD HAVE LET YOU GO came from his lone solo album released in 1983 billed as BOBBY MARTIN. Here's its lyrics:

Hi Randy,

The song by MAX CARL was titled ONE LONELY GUY. The song was from the 1984 movie THE LONELY GUY which stars STEVE MARTIN. CARL had a stint with the rock group 38 SPECIAL from 1988 to 1991. He co-wrote and sang lead on their hit song SECOND CHANCE from 1989. He's currently a member of the rock band GRAND FUNK RAILROAD.

The other song is by BRYAN ADAMS. It's called GIVE ME YOUR LOVE from his self-titled 1980 debut album.
