I love 80's music...I always considered myself somewhat well-versed on artists/songs...but I got this one song in my head, with a verse, 'and we danced, by the waves of ocean, romance'...it is so killing me I can't figure this out, I love this song...please, would love to hear your feedback!

AND WE DANCED is what you're looking for by the Philadelphia band THE HOOTERS. They formed in 1980 with core members ERIC BAZILIAN and ROB HYMAN. In 1984, the two worked on CYNDI LAUPER's debut album SHE'S SO UNUSUAL. ROB also co-wrote the hit ballad TIME AFTER TIME. AND WE DANCED is from their second album called NERVOUS NIGHT, released in 1985. The 1985 line-up was made up of HYMAN, BAZILIAN, DAVID UOSIKKINEN, JOHN LILLEY and ANDY KING. NERVOUS NIGHT boasts of 4 Billboard Hot 100 hits: ALL YOU ZOMBIES (#58), AND WE DANCED (#21), DAY BY DAY (#18) and WHERE DO THE CHILDREN GO (#38). Except for KING and with member FRAN SMITH, JR., the group recently recorded their first album of new material since 1993 due for release this year.
