Dear Dawn,
Of course, we all remember THRILLER by MICHAEL JACKSON and I know for sure that's not the one. If only for that, I couldn't recall (I know I've seen that one!) the song you are looking for. Maybe you can help me some more by giving me additional info about the song. Any lyrics? What kind of song, slow or fast? Please mail me again!

AnswerDear Dawn,
No wonder, it was 1983 and MTV was just something we here in the Philippines were just dreaming of. We only see music videos through local channels who broadcast choiced MTVs an hour everyday. I probably missed that one. But I know I saw it maybe twice several years after, reason I couldn't remember it well. The song is no stranger to me, though.
Just for fun, I will give you some info about the song and the artist. As if it is going to be useful to you two, LOL!
JEOPARDY is by THE GREG KIHN BAND. Formed in 1976 with RONNIE DUNBAR (guitar), STEVE WRIGHT (bass), LARRY LYNCH (drums) & GREG KIHN (vocals). They recorded under the now-legendary BESERKLEY RECORDS of MATTHEW KAUFMAN often naming their albums with puns on the name "KIHN". In 1981, the band got their first hit, THE BREAKUP SONG (THEY DON'T WRITE 'EM) from their fourth album ROCKIHNROLL (1981). It went to #15 in the Hot 100 on September 5, 1981. Next came their biggest hit, JEOPARDY (Hot 100 #2, May 7, 1983) from KIHNSPIRACY (1983). It later served as the basis for a parody, I LOST ON JEOPARDY by WEIRD AL YANKOVIC (Hot 100, #81, July 7, 1984). ROCKIHNROLL also had another minor hit, LOVE NEVER FAILS (Hot 100, #59, 1983). 1985's CITIZEN KIHN produced the hit LUCKY (Hot 100, #30, April 6, 1985), his last Top 40 hit. 1986's LOVE AND ROCK AND ROLL brought KIHN's charting history to a close as the title track could only rose to #92 on April 5, 1986.
GREG KIHN has a live album coming up to be released by Sony Records.
Here's JEOPARDY's lyrics:
JEOPARDY / GREG KIHN BAND
Oh Oh Oh Oh
Where were you when I needed you
Well you could not be found
What can I do, oh I believed in you
You're running me around
Well you can take it as a warning
Or take it anyway you like
It's the lightning, not the thunder
You never know where it's gonna strike
Our love's in jeopardy, baby, ooh
Our love's in jeopardy, baby, ooh
Don't be cute, don't be funny now
It's later than you think
Oh what's the use, save your money now
It's hanging on the brink
Don't let go while I'm hanging on
'Cause I've been hanging on so long
It's so hard to be all alone
I know you're not that strong, yeah, yeah
Our love's in jeopardy, baby, ooh
Our love's in jeopardy, baby, ooh
Don't let go while I'm hanging on
'Cause I've been hanging on so long
It's so hard to be all alone
I know you're not that strong, yeah, yeah
Our love's in jeopardy, baby, ooh
Our love's in jeopardy, baby, ooh
Our love's in jeopardy, jeopardy, baby, ooh
Our love's in jeopardy, jeopardy, baby, ooh
Love in jeopardy, baby
Maraming salamat po!
