I don't know if this is 80s or 90s, but what is the name of the meringue song in the Steve Martin movie, "My Blue Heaven"

I haven't heard the songs from that movie's soundtrack album so I don't know which one you are referring to. But there's this song which I think is the one. It is THE BOY FROM NEW YORK CITY by THE AD LIBS. The song was a No. 8 hit on the Hot 100 Chart on February 27, 1965. It was later remade by THE MANHATTAN TRANSFER in 1981, a version they took a notch higher than the original, No. 7 back in August 8, 1981.
