Hi bong... sorry if i had to ask my question again... I have been searching 3 years for a
song to which "My Love" seems to be the title of.
the lyrics go like this..."baby,our day is getting very near,
my love...you're all im dreaming of...".my question is,
what is the real title, who originally sang it and is there
a digital copy around of this song. vernie varga seems to
have made a version of this to promote a movie called
"my champion"...this is a 3 year long journey that kept
hitting dead ends...hope you could really help me. thanks!

I remember it a bit, the song I mean. But I guess it's one of OPM's "best-kept" secret. One would be lucky enough to land an mp3 copy of that song. Not even Verni Varga collections include that track.
For your info, the movie was originally titled RITORU CHAMPION, it's a true story of a Japanese immigrant who becomes a female marathon champion. Directed by GWEN ARNER and starred CHRISTOPHER MITCHUM and YOKO SHIMADA (of SHOGUN fame), it was released in 1981 and retitled MY CHAMPION in several countries including the Philippines. It was one of the first foreign movie to have its song re-recorded by a local artist for promotional intents. Remember the movies which came after, utilizing the same market push: CHALLENGE TO WIN, READY FOR LOVE PARTS 1 & 2, etc.
