Question
Bong,

Aside from the group America, I Don't Believe In Miracles was recorded by another artist and that version became famous in Manila during the 70's. Can you find out who that other artist  is?
Thanks kabayan!

Answer
Dear Lodi,

Actually, I DON'T BELIEVE IN MIRACLES has been recorded by three more acts before AMERICA's 1980 version out of their ALIBI album. It was originally recorded by COLIN BLUNSTONE for his 1972 second solo album called ENNISMORE. COLIN, is best remembered here for the song MILES AWAY. He's also part of the group ARGENT. I DON'T BELIEVE IN MIRACLES was written by COLIN's bandmate with ARGENT, RUSS BALLARD who also had a version of the song, appearing on his 1975 solo album RUSS BALLARD. But before that, it was included on ARGENT's 1974 live set titled ENCORE: LIVE IN CONCERT. Unfortunately, the song never reached any of the US charts.

Maraming salamat po!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
