It appears that I was closer to the title of the song than I thought. The title of the song is, "You Like Me Don't You." It appears on two Best Of Jermaine Jackson Albums. 1970-1992: Ultimate Collection and Greatest Hits & Rare Classics. Jermaine had a song out that I can't seem to gather the name of it. It had a nice smooth groove to it. There is a phrase in the lyrics that says something along the lines of, "One thing that's true, I notice you like me don't you." Do you or anyone else know the name of this song?

Your clues are kinda tricky. It's not the exact match but it's close. Id like to believe that this is the song you are looking for. Two versions of the NOBODY LOVES ME LIKE YOU DO came out one after the other back in 1984-85. Country superstar ANNE MURRAY first recorded it in 1984 for her album HEART OVER MIND as a duet with DAVE LOGGINS. In 1985, JERMAINE JACKSON sang it as a duet with a then-unknown WHITNEY HOUSTON for the latter's debut album. ANNE MURRAY's version was a No. 1 Country Hit on December 15, 1984 and No. 10 on the Adult Contemporary Chart on November 10, 1984. WHITNEY's version did not see release. Here's how it goes:

For the record, YOU LIKE ME DON'T YOU was from an album that was not a regular entry in Jermaine's discography. It was from JERMAINE released in 1980.
