Nagtanong na ako sa inyo noon about the song Kung Walang Ikaw by an unknown artist of the mid 70s... pinapatugtog
din ito noong 80s... after that song hindi na sumikat ang artist na ito... i remembered that he was a student of Mapua
noon...

May nagsabi sa akin na baka si Marcelo ito... kaya lang hindi ako sigurado.. I think somebody at Viva Records might
know it.. since Marcelo was an artist...

I used to have its minus one pero nalubog sa baha...

Dear Ed,

The timing of your follow-up question is perfect. A couple of days ago while rumming through my old songbook, I found out that KUNG WALANG IKAW was interpreted back in 1981 by REYNALDO. It was indeed the song you were asking about, written by the great GEORGE CANSECO. However, I'm not certain if this was the original version. The songbook placed the song on its "latest hits" section meaning this version was a certified 1981 hit. It was recorded under the BLACKGOLD label of BLACKGOLD MUSIC CORPORATION, a sister company of VICOR MUSIC CORPROATION, the predecessor of VIVA RECORDS. I'll continue to look for some more infos and will re-post if any development arises.
