...Hi Bong, do you happen to know if the song I'M ON MY OWN NOW by Gino Padilla was included in the OST of the 1987 movie MAID TO ORDER, kasi i remember na eto yung pinapatugtog sa trailer ng movie as i have seen in the 80s show ng Channel 13 na YOUR MOVIE DATE...

I'M ON MY OWN NOW was certainly featured in the movie MAID TO ORDER released in 1987 which stars ALLY SHEEDY. Its soundtrack album featured the NICKOLAS ASHFORD & VALERIE SIMPSON-written I CAN STILL SHINE performed by MERRY CLAYTON and the original version of I'M ON MY OWN NOW. The song was written by CLAUDETTE RAICHE & RALPH JONES and sung by singer-musician CRAIG THOMAS. Here in the Philippines, GINO PADILLA performed the cover version to promote the movie. It can be recalled that it was prevalent during those years to re-record songs from certain movies by local artists for promotional purposes. Come to think of it: YOUR EYES by JOJO ALEJAR (from LA BOUM 2 (READY FOR LOVE 2 locally) & LET THE LOVE BEGIN by GINO PADILLA & ROCKY (from THRASHIN' (CHALLENGE TO WIN locally). By the way, GINO PADILLA's version of I'M ON MY OWN NOW was included in his 1991 debut album SHIFTING GEARS.
