80s Music/Name of songs
Expert: OneMixDJ - 11/13/2007
QuestionHi!
I've desperately been trying to figure a song out. I have it on tape from around 89. I am not sure whether the song is actually from that year, but it surely is an 80's song. The song starts off with this line: I fell in love with my best friends gal. And the the chorus: (MAN) I would run away with you (WOMAN) You and I could be together (MAN) hundred miles away from here (WOMAN) we're never gonna be discovered....
Then there's this one: The only thing I know, it is a woman singing and she sings; Fire, fire, all my life I've been knocking on doors...
I know it's not much!
Please help!
In advance; thank you ever so much!
Sincerely,
Eilen Villemo Stålesen
AnswerHi Eilen!
I'm still trying to figure out the first song, but the second song is Tina Charles - You Set My Heart On Fire.
Here's a clip of the second song.

I'll get back to you about the first one.
If you have any more info on the first song, let me know..
**UPDATE**
Hi Eileen,
I haven't had any success in figuring out the first song, so I sent it out to Question pool to see if any of the other Experts might be able to recognize it.
Regarding "You Set My Heart On Fire", keep in mind that there have been many different renditions of that song, too many to track at this point. However, the original is by Tina Charles.
Good luck in finding the first song!
