Hi Sir Bong,
Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New to you...
It's me again sir, cause there's a song that's keep on boiling on my mind, i remember this was a hit in our local station before during mid 80's and its a ballad with a lyrics like in some stanza "Has got me losing control" and Ohh..blah, blah, but God i come this far, Ohh..I Miss You or I Need You. The voice somewhat resembles like Al Corley or Al Jarreau. And no matter how i tried googling it, it doesnt appear, it seems its title goes like "I Miss You" or "I Need You.

Dear Jojo,

It's certainly titled I NEED YOU and it was done by one of EARTH, WIND & FIRE's lead vocalist, MAURICE WHITE. The other is PHILIP BAILEY (who did EASY LOVER with PHIL COLLINS in 1984). It's from his self-titled 1985 album when he took a break from EWF. I NEED YOU was also a radio hit in the US peaking at #95 on the Hot 100 back in 1986. Here's its lyrics:
