80s Music/Question about a 80's German song
Expert: Bong Santos - 3/9/2007
QuestionMy friend recently found a song which was "supposedly" on a Peter Schilling album. It sounds like it could very well be. It's about space, and starts out with/ someone speaking in German and then he laughs. In the middle of the song someone is asking for the foreign spaceship to identify itself, and the man from the start of the song says," We...do not need love...on this planet." (Cheesy, I know) One part of the song the man sings,"Ich Din Der Hass", which I know means "I am the hate"...obviously I don't speak German, haha. Anyhow...do you have the faintest clue what I am rambling on about? I sure hope you do! I can't find it anywhere. However, I do know it's not from Peter Maffay, as he seems to sing love ballads. This song is true to Peter Schilling in that unique sound and crazy sound effects, however, I am not entirely sure it is Peter Schilling's song.
AnswerDear Jamee,
I'm not really familiar with PETER SCHILLING's other works most especially his German songs. I only remember two of his English language hits, MAJOR TOM (COMING HOME) and THE DIFFERENT STORY (WORLD OF LUST AND CRIME). However, PETER SCHILLING's songs were mostly "space" themed and two of his previous albums (pre-MAJOR TOM) were in German. So probably it was included there. By the way, MAJOR TOM was originally recorded in German.
Maraming salamat po!!
