WALK ON BY was written by the songwriting duo of BURT BACHARACH and HAL DAVID and originally sung by DIONNE WARWICK from her 1963 album ANYONE WHO HAD A HEART. It went to #6 on the Hot 100 Chart. The song would appear two more times on this chart for the next 27 years. In 1969, ISAAC HAYES rehashed it for his album HOT BUTTERED SOUL and took it to #30 on the Hot 100 Chart. Finally, New Jersey R&B-pop singer SYBIL took her 1989 version to #74 on the Hot 100 Chart on February 10, 1990. It's from her 1989 album called SYBIL.
