Hi Sir Bong,

Have you heard that song with lyrics "Long As We Believe", i couldn't produce more of the lyrics, it's just what i recalled from the tune, i guess its a song too from the '80s and its a female singer. Also who sung that song entitled as "I Can't Afford That Feeling Anymore", i guess its a lady singer too. Too many songs just came out of mind but i couldn't get their titles or the performer due to i just heard them quiet a long time ago, i just missed them so much. I was also looking for any autobio for David Newman with that "So far away from home" Is he the one who's converted now to Hinduism and presently wrote songs for his current belief?

LONG AS WE BELIEVE was sung by SIEDAH GARRETT for the 1985 movie FAST FORWARD. It was actually a duet with an unknown artist (uncredited). SIEDAH GARRETT was more known as MICHAEL JACKSON’s co-performer on I JUST CAN’T STOP LOVING YOU. She also co-wrote MICHAEL JACKSON’s #1 hit MAN IN THE MIRROR. Here’s how it goes:

The next song is I CAN’T AFFORD THAT FEELING ANYMORE by RITA COOLIDGE from her 1984 album INSIDE THE FIRE. The song was originally recorded by DAVID SOUL back in 1980 for his BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE album. We all remember him for the #1 hit DON’T GIVE UP ON US back in 1977 and as KEN “HUTCH” HUTCHINSON of the TV series STARSKY & HUTCH. (In the film, his character is played by OWEN WILSON, and together with PAUL MICHAEL GLASER who played DAVID STARSKY [BEN STILLER in the movie] had a cameo role in the ending of the movie). About DAVID NEWMAN, I don’t think he was that one. I don’t have any latest info about him. Another DAVID NEWMAN, the successful composer do not mention any past discographies that can be traced as that DAVID NEWMAN who sang SO FAR AWAY FROM HOME.
