Question
dont know artist or title: lyrics go "people talkin at me... skipping over the ocean
like a stone"  it was in Borat in the scene when first got to New York.

Answer
Dear Daniel,

The song would be EVERYBODY'S TALKIN' by HARRY NILSSON. It was originally performed by folk singer FRED NEIL, who also wrote the song for his self-titled second album. HARRY NILSSON covered it for his 1968 album AERIAL BALLET. It was initially released as a single in 1968 but flopped. The following year, it was re-released and used for the movie MIDNIGHT COWBOY. This time, the song became a hit and won for HARRY a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Vocal Performance, Male in 1970. It went to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart on October 11, 1969. Here's its lyrics:

EVERYBODY'S TALKIN' / NILSSON

Everybody's talking at me
I don't hear a word they're saying
Only the echoes of my mind

People stopping staring
I can't see their faces
Only the shadows of their eyes

I'm going where the sun keeps shining
Thru' the pouring rain
Going where the weather suits my clothes
Banking off of the North East wind
Sailing on a summer breeze
And skipping over the ocean like a stone

Maraming salamat po!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
