Hi!  I'm trying to ID a song I heard once, kinda punkish, with the main lyric "There's...gonna be a showdown!  There's...gonna be a showdown!"  I don't remember the group, it was something like "The Nasties" or "The Uglies" or "The Somethings".  The video was them in western gear, having a gunfight, with stop-action animation, people's hats flying off, and so on.  I think it ended with a tombstone with the group's name on it.  And someone saying (subtitled?) "I got you, [name of group]".  It must've been around 1986.  If you have any idea, I'd be forever grateful!

I'm not sure I've seen that video. But looking at songs with lyrics like that point me to several songs among them: ARCHIE BELL & THE DRELLS' (THERE'S GONNA BE A) SHOWDOWN (but this one's from way back 1969), SHOWDOWN by ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA (1973), SHOWDOWN by TOM FOGERTY (1974), SHOWDOWN by THIN LIZZY (1974), SHOWDOWN by ASIA & SHOWDOWN by NEW YORK DOLLS. I'll look for it further. Will re-post.
