80s Music/Stumped on this 80s song..

Question
Hi, I work in a grocery store, and almost all the songs they play on the repeating track are 80s, so I'm assuming this song is also from the 80s.  It's a male singer. I honestly don't really know any of the lyrics, but I DO know that it has a very distinct instrumental/synthesizer part that repeats multiple times throughout the song. It kind of sounds mysterious. The instrument/synthesizer has this kind of sound and rhythm  "dut duuuh (same note, G G) duh (higher note, b flat) duhduhdut (all going down, f, e flat, d) duuuuh (higher note, b flat) and so on (c, d, e flat, d, c, d, (back up) a flat, g). It has a very moderate tone. Towards the end of the instrumental part each time, the male singer joins very empathically the instrumental for 3 words "Duh Duh (same note b flat, b flat) Duuuh (lower note, f), or 3 beats, then sings a long "ohhhhhh" that changes tone right before the chours comes back. The chorus sounds like "in my mind that's sooooo something." Rhythm - duhduhduh (c) dut (d)duuuuh (d)duuuh dut (c). At the end of the song the background music fades out while the chorus keeps repeating. The end has 3 words being shouted that keep repeating that sound like "By My Side!" or "One More Try!" If you could help me at all, that would be great.  Thank You so much.

Answer
Dear Stan,

Sorry, I can't help with that as I can't read chords unless you can try something like sending me an audio clip of that song (a taped copy from your store or your humming). Just make sure you type the correct link which is compatible with Real Players.

Maraming salamat po!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
