Question
Hi,
I've been trying to figure out the artist who sang 'Tomorrow'. It was a female
singer and the song was a slow dance tempo. I remember buying a 45
recording of it with the artist called 'Sherie Simons', but I don't think she was
the original singer (people said that SS was Helen Gamboa). Anyway, the
opening line was
'Where will I be tommorow
If I borrowed today'
The song was also danced to by group called Dance Promo 89 for Student
Canteen show.
Thanks for your help.
BTW, if you can also let me know where I can download this song.
You're awesome

Answer
Dear Turbocap,

I would really like to help but I don't have enough info of the artist. Old copies of JINGLE SONGHITS showed that SHERRY SIMONS released an album called SHERRY SIMONS 2 back in 1982. This album contains the song TOMORROW. It was released here under A & W Records. Another single, a cover of RITA LEE's LANCA PERFUME billed her as SHERRY SIMMONS.

As for the HELEN GAMBOA issue, it's the first time I heard about it.

Maraming salamat po!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
