Question
hey! Wats up? I would like to know what is the ultimate gay theme song of the 80's? and a history of gay music in the 80's as well

Answer
Dear Lenn,

There's no actual list of which is the ultimate gay theme song of the 80's. There are several songs however related to the gay culture among them I WILL SURVIVE by GLORIA GAYNOR, GO WEST by VILLAGE PEOPLE and SHAKE YOUR GROOVE THING by PEACHES & HERB. But taking into consideration the most popular one. the hands down would be I LOVE THE NIGHTLIFE (DISCO 'ROUND) by ALICIA BRIDGES. The song had appeared on several movies since it was released on ALICIA BRIDGES' debut album in 1978. It previously appeared on movies like LOVE AT FIRST BITE (1979), THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT (1994) and THE LAST DAYS OF DISCO (1998). I LOVE THE NIGHTLIFE went to No. 5 for three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart from December 23, 1978 to January 6, 1979.

Maraming salamat po!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
