80s Music/annie lennox song??

About 10 or 15 years ago, I was in a department store and heard a song by someone that sounded like Annie Lennox. I have tried to find it to no avail, and am wondering if it was even her. It was very slow, and had soft percussion in the background. Towards the middle/ end of the song, there were background vocals that sounded African. I can't remember any lyrics, but would know them if I saw them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing rings a bell on the African backings part, but if you could provide a tad more info, I could name the song if it is in fact Annie's. Are you sure it was an Annie Lennox solo song and not a Eurythmics song, and do you remember any possible lyrics?

I can also bring forth many details about their discographies, tours, and collaborations at the blink of an eye.
As for 80s bands in general, I have been a fan for a while as well. My record collection has recently climbed above 250, and more are always being added. I also enjoy reading about the careers of bands of the 80s. I am also quick to match song lyrics to a title, or a title to a singer.
