Hi bong,

i'm sure you're familiar w/ the song "Only Friends"; it goes like this:

Time, only time can erase the memory of our love,
and all the things that won't come true,
yesterday i walked the streets, today i run in disbelief
from the memory of losing you...

Now, there are 2 versions of this song: one is by the lettermen, and the other i don't know. I hope you can help me.

Another question. During the 80s up to, probably, mid-90s, at 10:00 pm, the Mellow Touch (WLL, 94.7) used to play a piano instrumental. There are no voices other than some few deep breaths. I hope you can tell me the title and artist. Many thanks

Sorry but I haven't heard the other version of this 1971 song by THE LETTERMEN. I read crooner MATT MONRO had a cover version but even that is alien to me. I hope you have a copy of that "other" version so I can listen to it and probably recognize the singer.

As for the instrumental ditty played in Mellow Touch, I remember it vaguely but can't say who did that. Well I need to do a lot of researching about this. Hope someone reads this and share whatever info he/she got.
