About C.A. Smith Expertise I am a musician (singer / songwriter / guitarist) who is still heavily into the music and bands of the 1980s. I can answer virtually any question regarding who sang what or the words to most pop and rock songs from the 1980`s. I am particularly knowledgeable about the pop / rock music from 1986 - 1989. The Bangles, Bon Jovi, and Split Enz are groups I know virtually everything about--personally as well as musically. I also know a bit of alternative music and punk from the era. If I don't know the answer to your question, I will certainly use my resources to try to find the answer for you!
Experience I am a musician and sing and write music. Music is my life.

I remember this song also. It was an early eighties song. There was a MTV video for it as well. It was an English group. Male singer. He somewhat talked through the versres and would sing the chorus. It was a catchy hook. Maybe this will help the search.

The most common 80s hit with "Working Girl" in the chorus is "Working Girl" by UK band The Members. Chorus includes the line quoted in the question.
